About this role

An Operation Technology (OT) Security Specialist is responsible for safeguarding and securing the operation technology infrastructure and systems within an organization.

Their job role involves assessing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect industrial control systems, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and other OT components. They conduct risk assessments, develop security policies and procedures, monitor network traffic, and respond to security incidents.

The OT Security Specialist also collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, implement security controls, and provide training and awareness programs. Their role is crucial in maintaining the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of OT systems and mitigating potential cyber threats.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of experience in IT/OT Security, with at least 6 years focused on OT security
  • Relevant certifications such as GICSP, GRID, GCIH, or similar
  • Understanding of logistics, supply chain, and port operations applications (preferred)
  • Experience working with multinational companies (MNC) (preferred)
