Mechanical Technicians are vital to ensure the smooth running of terminal operations by maintaining cranes and other important equipment. Technicians carry out planned maintenance, repairs, and project-related work as well as providing help during the delivery, inspection, and commissioning of new equipment.<\/p>

Technicians working in a DP World terminal gain experience of specialist equipment such as quay cranes, terminal tractors, shuttles, and more. In this varied career, no two days are ever the same.<\/p>

    • Relevant technical qualification, for example in the UK this would be a minimum Level 3 (NVQ, City & Guilds etc.)<\/li>\n
    • Excellent knowledge of equipment maintenance, with experience of gear boxes, engines, hydraulics, and lifting equipment<\/li>\n
    • Basic understanding of electrical engineering\n
