About this role<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The VTM Operator ultimately manages all vessel movements in and out of the port. Working closely with the Marine Planner to finalise berthing plans, you must communicate with incoming ships to ensure processes are correctly followed.<\/p>

From the moment a vessel enters a port, the VTM Operator will monitor and guide until it is at anchor. This includes transmitting navigational information in poor weather conditions, coordinating port tugs and mooring, and ensuring vessels follow the correct safety procedures.<\/p>

As VTM Operator, you must be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as distress, marine pollution or other unexpected disasters, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders.<\/p>
