An Assistant Manager HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) is a professional who supports the Manager of HSE in overseeing and managing health, safety, and environmental practices within an organization.

They work to ensure compliance with regulations, promote a safe working environment, and minimize risks to employees, customers, and the surrounding environment.

The Assistant Manager HSE assists in the development and implementation of HSE strategies, conducts inspections and audits, provides training and guidance on HSE practices, and assists in the preparation of necessary documentation for certifications. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment.
  • Proven experience in OHSE management systems and international standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of legal requirements related to HSE.
  • Ability to perform key functions of OHSE management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Valid driving license for conducting site visits.
