Database & Application Administrators manage and maintain databases and applications within an organization. Overall, the role requires expertise in database administration, application management, and the ability to ensure smooth operations of critical systems.

  • DataGuard Management: Skilled in configuring and managing Oracle Data Guard for database replication and disaster recovery.

  • Understanding Business and Database Models: Ability to comprehend business models and relate them to database structures.
  • Project Contact for Data Initiatives: Main point of contact for data-related projects, such as data lakes, ensuring successful implementation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Previous experience in database administration, focusing on Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Strong knowledge of database security, backup and restore, troubleshooting, and tuning.
  • Experience in Oracle RAC cluster and Oracle Data Guard management.
  • Familiarity with business applications management and incident resolution.
  • Ability to understand and align business and database models.
  • Relevant certifications in database administration (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
