The ‘Our World, Our Future’ sustainability strategy plays a crucial role in how we do business, and we want to always ensure that community engagement and upliftment is a fundamental aspect to our operations. With this in mind, our team in Djazair welcomed 25 children with special needs for a fun and educational experience around the port.

The children are part of El Mahdi, an association for differently abled children. Our guests travelled from the Laghwat region and were greeted by managers from the Djazair port who introduced them to the maritime world. For some of these children, it was the first time they had ever seen the ocean – a wonderful moment for all involved!

Our team used the opportunity to communicate the importance of an equal workplace and how vital it is to integrate people with special needs into the workforce. The local team is looking forward to the next visit from the children of El Mahdi.
